New York is a city of endless possibilities when it comes to finding a good feed. With over 24,000 places to eat and only so little time, we have asked our travel team where their favourite places to eat in New York are – and here it is:

DAN AND JOHN’S WINGS

Located in Murray Hill and East Village, Dave and Johns Wing’s offer what our Product Manager can only describe as “the best wings I have EVER eaten”. Using recipes they learned growing up in Buffalo, owners Dan and John opened their first wings shop in 2018 and second in 2019 and still work in their stores. The only problem you will come across is choosing which flavours. Our top picks are the Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki and Garlic Parmesan.

TIM HO WAN

Known as the “Dim Sum Specialists,” Tim Wo Han is where you want to be if you crave mouth-watering Asian cuisine. With each dish being hand-made, this restaurant features world-famous BBQ Pork Buns which are to die for. Our other top picks are the steamed rice roll with shrimp and chinese chives and vegetable dumplings.

EATALY

For our Italian foodies, this food experience is one you must not miss. Picture everything Italian you’ve ever loved and put it all in one place. We’re talking pizza joints, oyster bars, steak houses, pasta restaurants, wine bars and more.  Let your appetite guide you through this Italian fiesta, or if you can’t decide, our top pick is the pasta station where they cook it all right in front of you.

CHELSEA MARKET

For those who want some variety, head over to Chelsea Markets where you’ll find a variety of local food vendors showing off some of the best food in New York. From authentic tacos and traditional Korean soups to freshly made bread and cakes, we recommend doing a lap of the markets before making any rash food decisions. Our top pick is the currywursts washed down with local craft beers.

SHAKE SHACK

A more well-known joint, Shake Shack is a popular pit-stop for some of the best burgers around. With various locations across the city, we recommend stopping in and finding out why they’re so popular. Our pick is the SmokeShack burger.

SYLVIA’S RESTAURANT

If you’re looking for authentic food to warm the soul, then look no further. Sylvia’s Restaurant, the “The Queen of Soul Food”, was founded by Sylvia Woods in 1962. Established in the historic village of Harlem, Sylvia’s is a community favourite, known as the world’s kitchen. We’d recommend the Short Ribs, Southern Fried Chicken, and Candied Yams.
